Abstract:
Conventionally, there has been no contrivance for exclusion of devices of a compound device apparatus such that a printer and a scanner sharing a printing mechanism are incorporated as devices in a peripheral having only one USB connection port. According to the invention, a USB port (10a) having one physical connector connecting port and capable of being connected with one compound device apparatus through one connector is logically divided into a plurality of logic channels, so that a scanner (20), a printer (40) and a controller (30) for controlling them can be connected as the devices with the logic channels. That is, a device having a plurality of functions can be additionally incorporated into one compound device apparatus.
