Abstract:
A liquid crystal composition which contains liquid crystal molecules and a compound represented by the formula shown below. If this liquid crystal composition is subjected to crystal alignment and formed into a film, the resulting film has a low haze, while having a low surface energy so that repelling can be suppressed when a film laminate composed of two or more layers is formed thereof. (In the formula shown below, each of L1-L6 represents a single bond, -O-, -S-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -SCO-, -COS-, -NRCO-, -CONR-, -OCHR- or -CHRO-; each of Sp1-Sp4 represents a single bond or an alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms; A1 represents an (m + 1)-valent aromatic hydrocarbon group; A2 represents an (n + 1)-valent group that is formed of a ring structure; T1 represents a single bond or a divalent or trivalent group that is formed of a ring structure; each of Hb1 and Hb2 represents a fluoroalkyl group having 2-30 carbon atoms; l is a number from 0 to 2; m is 2 or 3; n is 1 or 2; and m > n.)
