Abstract:
Provided is a highly-efficient compound thin film solar cell in which a light absorption layer (14) is adjusted to have the most suitable band gap for light absorption by controlling the crystal particle size thereof, and a method for manufacturing the same. Specifically provided is a compound thin film solar cell characterized by being provided with at least a substrate (11), a back surface electrode (12) provided on the substrate (11), a first extraction electrode (13) provided on the back surface electrode (12), a light absorption layer (14) provided on the back surface electrode (12) and including a compound semiconductor thin film represented by Cu(Al1-x-yGaxIny)(Te1-a-bSeaSb)2 (where 0≤x≤1, 0≤y≤1, 0≤a≤1, 0≤b≤1, 0≤x+y≤1, 0≤a+b≤1), a buffer (15) provided on the light absorption layer (14), a transparent electrode layer (16) provided on the buffer layer (15), and a second extraction electrode (17) provided on the transparent electrode layer (16), and the mean crystal particle size of the compound semiconductor thin film is 1-100 nm.
