The present invention addresses the problem of providing a compound with which it is possible to form a color filter having exceptional brightness. The aforementioned problem is solved by a compound represented by formula (I). (I) [In formula (I), T1 and T2 each independently represent a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent or a divalent aromatic heterocyclic group optionally having a substituent, L1 represents a C1-12 a-valent aliphatic hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent or a group represented by formula (i), at least one of the methylene groups included in the aliphatic hydrocarbon group is substituted by -O-, and a represents an integer equal to or greater than 2.] (i) [In formula (i), T3 represents an a-valent aromatic hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent or an a-valent aromatic heterocyclic group optionally having a substituent, L2 represents a C1-5 divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group optionally having a substituent, and at least one of the methylene groups included in the aliphatic hydrocarbon group is substituted by -O-.]
