Abstract:
A method for producing a compressed functional member comprises: an alloy production step for producing a magnesium alloy material (32) to be casted which comprises, in mass% relative to the total amount of the magnesium alloy material (32) to be casted, 0.2 to 15% of aluminum, 0.3 to 10% of calcium, 0.05 to 1.5% of manganese, and unavoidable impurities; a casting step for casting the magnesium alloy material to be casted to thereby produce a magnesium alloy material (34) to be extruded; an extrusion step for subjecting the magnesium alloy material to be extruded to an extrusion processing at a temperature ranging from 250 to 500ºC and an extrusion ratio ranging from 3 to 30 to thereby produce a magnesium material (36) to be casted; and a casting step for casting the magnesium material to be casted to thereby form a compressed functional member (8, 10, 30).
