To provide a low-cost compressed oil-palm material that uses the trunk of an oil palm, reduces the use of formaldehyde adhesives, which are a cause of sick building syndrome, and makes use of components that are naturally present in oil palms. Said compressed oil-palm material is provided with an oil-palm material (W) that is sawed into a prescribed shape from an oil-palm trunk (WD) and another oil-palm material (W) that is sawed into a prescribed shape from the oil-palm trunk (WD) and stacked on top of the first oil-palm material (W). Said oil-palm materials (W) are compressed together using resin components and sugar components present in the oil-palm materials (W) to bond the oil-palm materials (W) into a single material. Since the quantity of resin components and sugar components present in the oil-palm materials (W) is sufficient such that no other adhesive need be used when bonding the oil-palm materials (W) together, said bonding is easy, and since the oil-palm materials (W) can be made a desired thickness, a compressed oil-palm material of a thickness required for a given intended use can be formed.
