Abstract:
A compression device for a packaging machine that improves production efficiency is provided.
This compression device (1) is equipped with: a first compression means (3) that lines up and compresses multiple absorbent articles (2); a second compression means (4) that is arranged so as to be paired with the first compression means (3) and lines up and compresses the multiple absorbent articles (2); and an inversion means (5) that integrally inverts the first compression means (3) and compression means (4). As a result, because the process for compressing the respective stacked absorbent articles (2) by the first compression means (3), a process for carrying out the compressed absorbent articles from the first compression means (3), and a process for carrying the absorbent articles into the second compression means (4), for example, can be substantially simultaneously performed, the time for packaging the respective absorbent articles (2) can be drastically reduced over the prior art, thereby improving productivity.
