Title:
COMPRESSION IGNITION GASOLINE ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/100707
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A compression ignition gasoline engine is provided with: fuel injection valves that inject fuel containing gasoline as a main component into cylinders; an EGR device that is capable of performing high-temperature EGR in which burned gas generated in the cylinders is introduced into the cylinders while at a high temperature; and a combustion control unit that controls the fuel injection valves and the EGR device so that HCCI combustion occurs in which fuel injected from the fuel injection valves auto-ignites within the cylinders. The combustion control unit controls the EGR device in at least a partial load operating range in which HCCI combustion is performed so that the EGR rate becomes large compared to a low load condition while in a high load condition in which a ratio G/F that is the ratio of the total amounts of gas and fuel within the cylinders becomes small.
