Abstract:
When compression molding is performed by feeding a molten resin (D) of a predetermined quantity to between a male mold (10) and a female mold (20), the male mold (10) is moved down to a predetermined stroke length so that the male mold (10) comes close to the female mold (20) fed with the molten resin (D). After this, a compression load is applied while the female mold (20) is being moved upward, and the male mold (10) is supported so that clamping is effected against the compression load applied to the female mold (20). Even if the molds are opened with a sufficient stroke for extracting moldings of a predetermined shape when the moldings are manufactured by the compression molding, the elongation of the molding cycle can be effectively avoided to mass-produce the moldings of the predetermined shape efficiently.
