Abstract:
A compression ratio control device 180 is provided with a compression ratio control unit 182 that, when an engine load is at least a predetermined load (the entire engine load) or less, controls the compression ratio of a combustion chamber 128 on the basis of a detection signal of a detection unit, such that the maximum combustion pressure approaches a combustion pressure upper limit value (the cylinder internal pressure upper limit value).
