The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a horizontal compressor in which a refrigerator oil separated from a refrigerant can be easily returned to a sealed vessel. A compressor accumulator (21) is equipped with: a refrigerant inlet pipe (22) which is connected to one side (X1a) in the axial direction (X1) of the compressor accumulator (21) and which draws a refrigerant that includes a refrigerator oil into the compressor accumulator (21); and an intake pipe (23) which is connected to the other side (X1b) in the axial direction (X1) of the compressor accumulator (21) in a direction that intersects the axial direction (X1) and which returns to a compressor the refrigerant from which the refrigerator oil has been separated. In the intake pipe (23), an oil return hole (23a) is formed that returns to the compressor the refrigerator oil separated from the refrigerant in the compressor accumulator (21). The oil return hole (23a) opens so that at least part thereof faces the opening direction of the refrigerant inlet pipe (22).
