Abstract:
This compressor includes: a motor; a sealed container that accommodates therein a compression mechanism part that is driven by the motor; and an accumulator attached to the sealed container. A suction pipe of the accumulator is connected to a suction port side of the compression mechanism part. The suction pipe of the accumulator includes: a first suction pipe that connects the suction port side of the compression mechanism part and a container of the accumulator; and a second suction pipe which is provided in the container of the accumulator, which is fabricated as a member separate from the first suction pipe, and which has a first end side that is connected to the first suction pipe and a second end side that is open to an upper portion in the container of the accumulator. The second suction pipe is configured such that a cross-sectional shape of the portion connected to the first suction pipe is circular, and at least a portion of the second suction pipe has a non-circular cross-sectional shape.
