A compressor comprising at least six wiring columns, a motor (102) provided within an upper housing (104), multiple windings electrically connected to the motor (102), a control circuit (108) electrically connected to the motor (102), multiple wiring terminals (106), the wiring terminals (106) being electrically connected to the control circuit (108), each of the wiring terminals (106) being connected to at least one of the wiring columns, and a microcontroller electrically connected to the control circuit (108), the windings, and the compressor (10). When the compressor (10) is operating at a low frequency, the control circuit (108) controls the windings to be connected together at one extremity in response to a first electric signal transmitted by the microcontroller; when the compressor is operating at a high frequency, the control circuit (108) controls all of the windings to be connected head-to-tail. The way in which the multiple windings of the motor are connected is adjusted in real-time on the basis of the work state and the operating frequency of the compressor, this allows the motor to maintain a relatively high efficiency at corresponding workstates and frequencies, thus increasing the efficiency of the compressor, and enhancing the energy efficiency of the compressor.
