Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a compressor capable of cooling an electric motor for powering a compressor impeller even in environments where external coolant can not be obtained. A compressor characterized by being equipped with: an electric motor; an impeller for rotating according to the rotations of the electric motor; a principal channel formed downstream from the impeller, and a bypass channel which branches off from the principal channel; a heat exchange unit for exchanging heat between gas upstream from the impeller and gas inside the bypass channel, and positioned upstream from the impeller; and a depressurization device positioned inside a channel connected to the interior of the electric motor, and positioned downstream from the heat exchange unit relative to the bypass channel.
