Description:
COMPRESSOR HAVING VIBRATION REDUCING STRUCTURE TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a compressor, and more particularly, to a compressor having a vibration reducing structure in which a transmission of vibration generated at a compressor unit to an accumulator can be minimized.

BACKGROUND ART In general, a compressor is a device for converting mechanical energy into compression energy of compression gas. The compressor is largely divided into a reciprocating compressor, a scroll compressor, a centrifugal compressor, and a rotary compressor by compression methods. The compressor has a refrigerating cycle unit mounted at a refrigerator or an air conditioner, and the refrigerating cycle unit constitutes a hermetic system.

The compression processes is classified by a high-pressure process and a low-pressure process. In the high-pressure process, a refrigerant is directly sucked into a compression unit, compressed, discharged into the hermetic container through a discharge pipe communicated to the hermetic container. Also, in the low-pressure process, a refrigerant is sucked in the hermetic container, then sucked into the compression unit and compressed, and discharged through the discharge pipe.

In case of a compressor using the high-pressure process, liquid refrigerant not evaporated from the evaporator is directly introduced to the

compression unit and generates a liquid compression, thereby damaging the compressor and making it impossible to operate the compressor normally.

Accordingly, in the compressor using the high-pressure process, an accumulator is provided for filtering a refrigerant so as to prevent the liquid refrigerant and alien substances such as oil from being introduced into the compression unit.

Figure 1 is an example of a compressor using the high-pressure process.

As shown in Figure 1, the compressor comprises a compressor body 1 for sucking gas, compressing, and discharging by a cyclic volume change and an operation of a valve ; and an accumulator 50 located at one side of the compressor body 1 for filtering the refrigerant.

The compressor body 1 includes a hermetic container 10 having a suction pipe 40 and a discharge pipe 11 communicated thereto; a driving force generating means 20 mounted at one side in the hermetic container 10 for generating a driving force; and a compression unit 30 for sucking refrigerant, compressing, and discharging by receiving a driving force generated by the driving force generating means 20.

The accumulator 50 fixed to one side of the compressor body 1 by a fixing band 60 and formed as a cylindrical shape having a predetermined inner space includes an accumulator container 51 in which a part of the suction pipe 40 is located as a predetermined length ; a refrigerant pipe 52 connected with an evaporator (not shown) at another side of the accumulator container 51; a screen 53 mounted in the accumulator container 51 and located above an end

portion of the suction pipe 40 placed at an inner side of the accumulator container 51 for filtering off liquid refrigerant and alien substances mixed in refrigerant introduced in the accumulator container 51 through the refrigerant pipe 52; and a screen holder 55 for fixing the screen 53 in the accumulator container 51.

The suction pipe 40 guides refrigerant which is filtered in the accumulator 50 from a refrigerant outlet 54 at a side of the accumulator 50 to a refrigerant inlet 12 at a side of the hermetic container 10.

Also, the suction pipe 40 is formed as a flat pipe having a predetermined inner diameter and is provided with a curved portion 42 curved with a predetermined angle according to an installation position of the accumulator 50.

Operations of the compressor in accordance with the conventional art will be explained.

First, in case that a driving force generated by the driving force generating means 20 is transmitted to the compression unit 30 and the compression unit 30 is operated, refrigerant which passed the evaporator is introduced into the accumulator container 51 through the refrigerant pipe 52 by the cyclic volume change of the compressor unit 30 and a suction force by operations of the valve.

The refrigerant introduced into the accumulator container 51 passes the screen 53, so that alien substances and liquid refrigerant mixed in the refrigerant are filtered and the gaseous refrigerant which passed the screen 53 is introduced in the compression unit 30 through the suction pipe 40.

Then, the gaseous refrigerant sucked into the compression unit 30 is compressed and discharged. The discharged refrigerant gas is introduced into a condenser (not shown) through the discharge pipe 11 communicated to one side of the hermetic container 10.

At this time, in the process that refrigerant is sucked, compressed, and discharged at the compression unit 30 of the compression body 1 by the cyclic volume change and operations of the valve, pressure pulsation vibration and noise are generated, in which the vibration and noise are resulted from opening and closing of the valve.

However, in the conventional compressor, the generated vibration is transmitted to the accumulator 50 through the suction pipe 40, increases vibration of the accumulator 50, and generates noise, thereby degrading a performance of the compressor.

Also, in the conventional compressor, since the suction pipe is formed as a flat pipe and curved with a predetermined angle, in a process that refrigerant is guided through the suction pipe 40, vibration is generated by a resistance between the refrigerant and the suction pipe 40, thereby generating noise and degrading a performance of the compressor.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a compressor having a vibration reducing structure, in which pressure pulsation

generated in a process that gas is sucked, compressed, and discharged in a compression unit mounted in a hermetic container and vibration generated by opening and closing a valve are transmitted to an accumulator at the minimum, and vibration generated by a resistance between refrigerant gas and a suction pipe can be reduced.

To achieve these objects, there is provided a compressor having a vibration reducing structure comprising a hermetic container having a suction pipe and a discharge pipe communicated thereto, a driving force generating means located in the hermetic container for generating a driving force, a compression unit for compressing gas by receiving the driving force from the driving force generating means, and an accumulator arranged at one side of the hermetic container and connected to one side of the suction pipe for filtering gas, wherein the suction pipe is provided with a vibration preventing means which absorbs vibration so as to prevent vibration generated at the compression unit from being transmitted to the accumulator through the suction pipe.

Also, in the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to the present invention, the vibration preventing means is bellows portion having a predetermined width and an interval.

MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be explained with reference to attached drawings.

Figure 2 is a front view showing a compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to one embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to Figure 2, the compressor comprises a body 1 for sucking refrigerant, compressing, and discharging by a cyclic volume change and operations of a valve ; and an accumulator 50 located at one side of the compressor body 1 for filtering alien substances and liquid refrigerant mixed in the gaseous refrigerant.

The compressor body 1 includes a hermetic container 10 having a suction pipe 70 and a discharge pipe 11 communicated thereto; a driving force generating means 20 mounted at one side in the hermetic container 10 for generating a driving force; and a compression unit 30 for sucking refrigerant, compressing, and discharging by receiving a driving force of the driving force generating means 20.

The accumulator 50 fixed to one side of the hermetic container 10 by a fixing band 60 and formed as a cylindrical shape having a predetermined inner space includes an accumulator container 51 in which a part of the suction pipe 70 is located as a predetermined length ; a refrigerant pipe 52 connected with an evaporator (not shown) at another side of the accumulator container 51; a screen 53 mounted in the accumulator container 51 and located above an end portion of the suction pipe 70 placed at an inner side of the accumulator container 51 for filtering liquid refrigerant and alien substances such as oil mixed in refrigerant introduced in the accumulator container 51 through the refrigerant pipe 52; and a screen holder 55 for fixing the screen 53 in the accumulator container 51.

The accumulator container 51 wound by a fixing band 60 having a predetermined shape is fixed to the hermetic container 10 by engaging both end portions of the fixing band 60 to the hermetic container 10.

The suction pipe 70 guides filtered refrigerant from a refrigerant outlet 54 at a side of the accumulator 50 to a refrigerant inlet 12 at a side of the compressor body 1 to the compression unit 30 in the hermetic container 10.

Also, the suction pipe 70 having a predetermined inner diameter is provided with a curved portion 42 curved with a predetermined angle according to an installation position of the accumulator 50.

The compressor according to the one preferred embodiment of the present invention has the same structure or a similar structure with the conventional compressor.

As shown in Figure 2, in the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, a bellows portion 72 for absorbing vibration is provided at the suction pipe 70 so that pressure pulsation generated in a process that gas is sucked, compressed, and discharged in the compression unit 30 and vibration generated by opening and closing the valve may be transmitted to the accumulator 50 through the suction pipe 70 at the minimum and so as to reduce vibration generated by a resistance between the refrigerant and the suction pipe 70.

That is, the suction pipe 70 having a predetermined thickness and an inner diameter includes flat pipe portions 71 for connecting the refrigerant outlet 54 at a side of the accumulator 50 and the refrigerant inlet 12 at a side of the hermetic container 10; and bellows portion 72 provided between the flat pipe portions 71 for absorbing vibration.

At this time, the bellows portion 72 are preferably formed at the curved portion 42 of the suction pipe 70 where a flow direction of the refrigerant is changed so as to effectively absorb vibration by pressure pulsation generated in a process that the refrigerant is introduced and flows out.

The bellows portion 72 can be constructed by welding or by bolt and nut between the flat pipe portions 71.

Operations and effects of the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to the one embodiment of the present invention will be explained.

First, in case that a power source is applied to generate a driving force

of the driving force generating means 20, the driving force is transmitted to the compression unit 30 to operate the compression unit 30.

As the compression unit 30 is operated, refrigerant which passed the evaporator is introduced into the accumulator 50 by the cyclic volume change and a suction force by operations of the valve.

The refrigerant introduced into the accumulator 50 passes the accumulator 50 and then alien substances and liquid refrigerant of the refrigerant are filtered by the screen 53, and then filtered refrigerant is sucked into the compression unit 30 mounted in the hermetic container 10 through the suction pipe 70.

Then, the refrigerant sucked into the compression unit 30 is compressed and discharged. The discharged refrigerant gas is introduced into a condenser (not shown) through the discharge pipe 11 communicated to one side of the hermetic container 10.

At this time, in the process that gas is sucked, compressed, and discharged by the cyclic volume change and operations of the valve in the compression unit 30, pressure pulsation and vibration due to opening and closing of the valve are generated. The generated vibration is absorbed by the bellows portion 72 provided at the suction pipe 70 in a process that the vibration is transmitted to the accumulator 50 through the suction pipe 70.

Also, vibration by pressure pulsation generated in a process that the refrigerant is introduced in the accumulator 50 and flows out is absorbed in the bellows portion 72 provided at the suction pipe 70 in a process that the vibration

is transmitted to the hermetic container 10 through the suction pipe 70.

Accordingly, in the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to one embodiment of the present invention, since the bellows portion 72 having a predetermined size and an interval is provided at the suction pipe 70 which guides the refrigerant which passes the accumulator 50 and is introduced into the hermetic container 10, vibration generated at the compression unit 30 is absorbed in the bellows portion 72. According to this, the vibration is prevented from being transmitted to the accumulator 50 in the compression unit 30, thereby reducing noise by the vibration.

In the meantime, the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to another embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to Figure 3. Hereinafter, the same components with the one embodiment of the present invention will be provided with the same reference numerals and explanations will be omitted.

Figure 3 is a front view showing a compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to another embodiment of the present invention.

In the aforementioned embodiment, the bellows portion for absorbing vibration generated at the compression unit is provided between the flat pipe portions 71 of the suction pipe. However, in another embodiment, the bellows portion 82 and 83 are respectively formed in the suction pipe 80 adjacently to the refrigerant inlet 12 located at a side of the hermetic container and at the refrigerant outlet 54 located at a side of the accumulator.

That is, the suction pipe 80 includes a first flat pipe portion 81 connected

to the hermetic container 10, a first bellows portion 82 formed subsequently to the first flat pipe portion 81, a second flat pipe portion 83 formed subsequently to the first bellows portion 82, a second bellows portion 84 formed subsequently to the second flat pipe portion 83, and a third flat pipe portion 85 formed subsequently to the second bellows portion 84 and connected to the accumulator 50.

In the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to another embodiment of the present invention, since the bellows portions are respectively provided at a side of the hermetic container and a side of the accumulator, vibration generated at the compression unit is absorbed in the bellows portion. According to that, the vibration generated at the compression unit is transmitted to the accumulator at the minimum, thereby reducing noise due to the vibration and increasing a reliability of the compressor.

That is, in the compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to the present invention, pressure pulsation generated in a process that gas is sucked, compressed, and discharged at the compression unit mounted in the hermetic container and vibration generated by opening and closing the valve are transmitted to the accumulator at the minimum, thereby reducing noise due to the vibration and increasing a reliability of the compressor.

The compressor having a vibration reducing structure according to the present invention can be applied to a reciprocating compressor provided with an accumulator, a scroll compressor, a centrifugal compressor, and a rotary

compressor.

It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the compressor having a vibration reducing structure of the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
