Abstract:
[Problem]
To prevent lubricating oil in the interior of a compressor from flowing to the outside of the compressor due to the movement of a refrigerant within the refrigeration cycle due to temperature changes when the operation of the compressor has stopped.
[Solution]
A compressor equipped with: a housing; an intake region (intake passage (31)) and a discharge region (discharge passage (33)) defined and formed by the housing; a shaft pivotally supported within the housing; and a compression mechanism that, on the basis of the rotational driving of the shaft, draws in the refrigerant from the intake region and discharges the refrigerant to the discharge region. In addition, the compressor is constructed so as to have: a bypass passage (40) connecting the intake region and the discharge region; a valving element (41) capable of closing off the bypass passage (40) from the discharge-region side; and a spring (42) that biases the valving element (41) toward the discharge-region side (the direction in which the valve is open).
