Abstract:
Provided is a compressor comprising an oil separation mechanism section (40) for separating oil from refrigerant gas discharged from a compression mechanism section (10). The oil separation mechanism section (40) has a cylindrical space (41) in which the refrigerant gas is swirled, an inlet section (42) through which the refrigerant discharged from the compression mechanism section (10) flows into the cylindrical space (41), a delivery opening (43) which delivers the refrigerant gas, from which the oil has been separated, from the cylindrical space (41) into one in-container space (31), and a discharge opening (44) which discharges the separated oil and a part of the refrigerant gas from the cylindrical space (41) into the other in-container space (32). A filter for removing foreign matter such as dust contained in the refrigerant gas is provided between the delivery opening (43) and the oil separation mechanism section (40). As a result of the configuration, the electric motor section (20) of the compressor is highly efficient, the volumetric efficiency is improved, and the amount of oil circulation is small.
