The present invention provides a compressor, comprising: a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinders in which a plurality of cylinders are inserted so as to enable reciprocating motion according to the rotation of a rotary shaft; a rear housing which is coupled with at least one end between a front end and a rear end of the cylinder block and includes a protrusion having steps which is inserted into an inner circumference of one side thereof; a disk-shaped valve plate which is disposed between the cylinder block and the rear housing and includes a discharge port and a suction port connected with a discharge chamber and a suction chamber of the rear housing; and a discharge valve which is provided between the valve plate and the rear housing, includes a plurality of lids corresponding to the location of the discharge port provided at the valve plate, and opens or closes the discharge port using the plurality of lids. Thus, the present invention can solve the problem of rust which is generated from the assembling part between the valve plate and the discharge valve by positioning the valve plate and the discharge valve inside of the rear housing without including an additional retainer.
