Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to enable a reduction in weight and improve reliability. A rotary compressor (101) according to the present invention is provided with a cylinder (24), a piston (21), and a bush (22). The cylinder (24) has a cylinder hole (24a). The piston (21) moves relative to the cylinder (24) in the cylinder hole (24a). The bush (22) is in sliding contact with the cylinder (24) and the piston (21) in the cylinder hole (24a). The cylinder (24) and the piston (21) are molded from an Al-Si alloy having an Si content exceeding 12.6 wt%, which is the eutectic point. The bush (22) is molded from steel, and has a surface layer including a sliding surface (22a) that is in sliding contact with the cylinder (24) and the piston (21). The surface layer is modified so as to have a greater hardness than the hardness of primary crystal Si that is included in the Al-Si alloy. Furthermore, the surface layer has, in the sliding surface, a hardness of Hv 1000 or more.
