Abstract:
This compressor is provided with a compression mechanism section (10) that compresses refrigerant gas, an electric motor section that drives the compression mechanism section (10), and an oil-separating mechanism section (40) that separates oil from refrigerant gas discharged from the compression mechanism section (10). The compression mechanism section (10), the electric motor section, and the oil-separating mechanism section (40) are placed in a sealed container, and the ratio b/a is 1-3, where a is the cross-sectional area of a discharge port (17) of the compression mechanism section (10), and b is the cross-sectional area of an inflow part (42) of the oil-separating mechanism section (40). Due to this configuration, performance of separating oil from the refrigerant gas of the compressor can be improved while the electric motor section is made more efficient.
