Abstract:
This compressor is provided with: a motor having a rotor which is rotatable about an axis (O) and also having a stator core (20) which surrounds the rotor from the outer peripheral side about the axis (O); a compression mechanism driven by the motor and compressing a refrigerant; and a housing (11) covering the motor and the compression mechanism. The stator core (20) has formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof: a plurality of contact sections (T1) interference-fitted to the inner peripheral surface of the housing (11); and a plurality of non-contact sections (T2) spaced away from the inner peripheral surface. If the sum of the lengths of the plurality of contact sections (T1) when viewed in the direction of the axis O is (L), and the outer diameter of the stator core (20) is d1, then the relationship of formula (1) is satisfied. 0.1 ≤ L/d1 ≤ 1.00 ... (1).
