Patent Searching and Data

Title:
COMPUTER-AIDED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM, BASED ON HEURISTICS AND SYSTEM TOPOLOGIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/109136
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a computer-aided diagnostic system, whereby the physical structure of the technical system to be diagnosed is implemented in the form of a structural model. If a fault code appears in a component of the technical system, capable of self-diagnosis and also in the structural model, the fault location is searched for by parameterizable path searching, according to the occurred fault in the structural model, by means of the path searching algorithm. Parameterization of path searching is carried out by fault-specific heuristics. The inventive heuristics is a software module which can be selected depending on an occurred fault, said module containing a fault-specific evaluation algorithm which contains indications on the quantity of candidates to be included in fault searching and the rule list with fault setting conditions which are used by the evaluation algorithm for a fault decision. The fault location is found, when a status variable of a component in the structural model meets a fault setting condition.
