Abstract:
A computer network structured by connecting a server apparatus to a client apparatus through an electric communication line, wherein the server apparatus has therein a simulation program for building a virtual world and characteristic data on characters used in the simulation program and an operating program, a time-varying virtual world is built on the server apparatus when the simulation program is executed, the user registers a character as the other self of the user in the server apparatus by means of the client apparatus, the characteristic data on the-other-self character is displayed on the client apparatus, and the user can input the operating program of the character to allow the character to take a predetermined action. Thus a new mode of computer entertainment using a computer network is realized.
