"COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING

EMERGENCY SERVICES IN REAL TIME"

TECHNICAL FIELD

[001] The present disclosure generally relates to the field of emergency services.

More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a computer implemented system for providing real time emergency services.

BACKGROUND

[002] The existing emergency services are to provide treatment to those in need of urgent medical care, with the goal of satisfactorily treating the presenting conditions, or arranging for timely movement of the patient to the next point of definitive care. The existing emergency services may be requested upon calling a published telephone number. These numbers are published either by a government agencies (like 108) or by private agency depending on who provides the services. Whenever any of these emergency services number is contacted by the service seeker (for example the patient) or someone on behalf of the person (for example the attendant) the call recipient (the service provider) may take details of the emergency like location, type of emergency and based on the request may arrange for the requisite service to the patient like, dispatch of an ambulance. In situations where there are no ambulances to serve or if all of them are occupied in services then the patient/attendant is advised to call any other emergency services. In some situations the patient is kept waiting till the existing ambulances free up and then are dispatched for pickup. This usually accounts for the deterioration of patient's condition and in extreme cases causes' death.

[003] In the light of aforementioned discussion there exists a need for a computer implemented system and application for providing real time emergency services

[0026] Referring to FIG. 2 is a block diagram 200, depicting the system 108 of FIG. 1 along with its modules, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. Modules are for dynamic modification of the environment (FIG. 1). The system 108 further comprises of modules not limiting to, a communication module 202, a medical information updating module 204, a requirement identification module 206, a connectivity module 208, a location analysing module 210, an incentive module 212, a monitoring and alert module 214, and a special services module 216, and the like.

[0027] The communication module 202 is configured to establish the communication between the user's device 102 and the service provider's device 104 upon the requirement for a service generated by the user. The user upon analysing the requirement of the service, in cases not limiting to an accident, a fire, a labour case, cardiac problems, convulsions, fall, and emergencies at home, office, school and the like may send the request for an appropriate service (which may be a medical emergency service). The application embedded in the system is configured to respond to the service request by the user in real time and connect the user to the nearest service provider. For example: in case of an accident the user may book an ambulance for catering to the emergency. The service provider receives the request for the same and immediately routes the request for the ambulance to be sent to the user. The request may be applicable when the user is discharged from the health centre.

[0028] The medical information updating module 204 is configured to maintain complete medical history of the user. For example; as a first case if the user is requesting for the services for the first time, then the user may have an option to feed in the medical history at one's discretion. As a second case if the user has already availed the services then, upon furnishing a fresh request the user may edit the medical history and/or retain the existing one on the basis of which the reports may be sent to the concerned health centre for the physicians to analyse the medical condition prior to the arrival of the user.

[0029] The requirement identification module 206 is configured to identify the request of the user for a service based on the type of emergency which is identified by the user. Once the user sends a request for a service, for example; if the user sends a request for an ambulance due to fire accident, then on the screen of the user's device 102 all the health centres shown are filtered based on the requirement i.e. those health centres will be shown which have a facility for burns treatment. Also, based on the requirement the user may opt for ambulances from health centres of one's choice. The decision on the requirement of the ambulance may be taken by the user and/or the service provider.

[0030] The connectivity module 208 is configured to trace the location based on GPS by identifying the nearest service provider and connecting the user to the requisite service provider. The user may be able to track the movement of the service vehicle (for example: the ambulance) in real time both before reaching the user and until the user reaches the requisite location. The location of blood banks, diagnostic centres, and any health centre in the vicinity of the user may also be traced for easy access of the user to the requisite location.

[0031] The location analysing module 210 is configured to analyse the location where the user needs to be taken in accordance with the nature of service required. The location analysing module 210 may be explained with the following example: In case the user is in labour and needs to be taken to a maternity home on an emergency basis, then the user may not be in a position to analyse and recollect the available maternity homes for safe and timely delivery. Upon the request from the user for the particular service, the location analysing module 210 is configured to analyse on behalf of the user and/or accept the analysis of the user for a specific maternity home and/or hospital catering to the maternity need of the user. The location analysing module 210 functions as a suggestive module thus relieving the user of hasty decisions in testing times.

[0032] The incentive module 212 is configured to identify and calculate an incentive which the user may be eligible for and/or may opt to avail one. For example: The fare which is to be paid by the patient and/or person accompanying the patient is auto calculated by the ambulance and the user is not charged an extra fare for being catered at the time of emergency. Incenti vised health check-up plans, hospital visits at the patient's convenience, discounts for various tests to be conducted in the diagnostic centres, a free coupon for utilising the services of a health spa, special incentive to pay a visit to the juice bar and/or restaurants which deal exclusively with the health food, and the like without limiting the scope of the disclosure.

[0033] The monitoring module 214 is configured to monitor and keep a track of the user's medical condition based on the history of the medical reports are uploaded by the user. The values of the health parameters may be entered and may be displayed through, not limited to, a graphical representation and the like, for comprehension and greater clarity. Based on the health reports, tips regarding the same may be sent to the user through the application. [0034] The special services module 216 is configured to provide specialised services to the user. There may be various embodiments to denote the function of the special services module 216. For example: assisting an individual and/ or a family in an emergency at home and/or on a roadside by not limiting to, giving a first aid, medical assistance which may include providing first aid tips upon contacting the service provider, joining them in hospital, providing on-spot insurance in case they don't have any insurance and the like. During extreme circumstances, not limiting to death of an individual, the service provider may be contacted for special services like, arranging a freezer box to accommodate the corpse, procurement of death certificate, transportation of the corpse from the place of demise to the requisite location, and the like. An example for special services may be: The user and/ or a family in emergency may be suggested and/or provided with short term insurance by assisting them to tie up with the insurance companies, introducing the user with various long term and short term insurance packages, not limiting to, gold, premium, platinum, and the like.
