Abstract:
Disclosed is a computer storage-use rack capable of allowing a computer such as a server to operate reliably and of considerably suppressing energy consumption at operation time, which can even be used in an existing data center. The disclosed computer storage-use rack is provided with a rectangular solid rack main body constituted so as to store a plurality of computers, and two ducts connected to the rack main body; wherein the rack main body is provided with (A) one pair of sidewalls constituting one pair of side surfaces of the rack main body, (B) partition plates for partitioning the rack interior into a plurality of storage areas in the vertical direction, and (C) in-wall piping embedded in each of the one pair of sidewalls. Each of the two ducts is connected to the in-wall piping, and the one pair of sidewalls is perforated so that each storage area is in communication with the in-wall piping.
