Abstract:
A storage apparatus (1000) comprises: a storage device (1100) which stores data which is read and written by a host computer; and a control device (1220) which controls the writing of data to the storage device (1100). The control device (1220) provides prescribed storage regions of the storage device (1100) as one or more volumes to a host computer (2000), and provides statistical information relating to the storage regions to an administration computer (5000) according to a request from the administration computer (5000). The administration computer (5000) comprises: a storage device (5100) which stores a storage region administration table which administers the storage regions of a plurality of the storage apparatuses (1000); and a control device (5200) which administers the configuration of the storage regions of the plurality of storage apparatuses. The control device (5200) administers the data configuration of the plurality of storage apparatuses (1000) based on the statistical information relating to the storage regions of the plurality of storage apparatuses (1000) which is provided from the storage apparatuses (1000).
