Abstract:
A host computer in a computer system has a device driver for controlling a storage device, an I/O scheduler for controlling the queue of I/O commands issued to the storage device, a SCSI control unit for generating a SCSI command from an I/O command pertaining to the queue, and an I/O allocation unit for generating a first path leading to the device driver via the I/O scheduler and the SCSI control unit and a second path leading to the device driver without going through the I/O scheduler and the SCSI control unit.
