A computer main body (103) of a computer (101) controls a display device (105) to display icons of outer main body apparatus (106a)-(106n) connected with at least its own executable application software and a USB interface (104), and executes application software selected by an operation unit (102). The operation unit (102) selects the icons of the outer main body apparatus (106a)-(106n) displayed by the display unit (105), so that the operation unit (102) functions as an operation unit for the selected outer main body apparatus (106a)-(106n) and so that the display unit (105) functions as a display unit for the selected outer main body apparatus (106a)-(106n).
