Abstract:
The present invention is computer based system and method for ranking of Private Equity (PE) Fund Managers having PE Funds based upon information from an external data base. In one embodiment, the computer based method comprises a first step of providing a computer system comprising a storage device, first and second data base, and third and fourth data bases. The method further comprises the step of extracting a list of PE Fund Managers and PE Funds from the external data base. The method further comprises the step of collecting a list of performance data (DPI%; IRR%; and RVPI%) for each PE Fund stored in the first data base. The method further comprises the step of storing the list of performance data (DPI%, IRR%, and RVPI%) in the second data base. The method further comprises the step of calculating weighting coefficients DPI, IRR, RVPI, and TVPI based upon statistical analysis of the performance data (DPI%; IRR; RVPI; and TVPI for each year of all PE Funds stored in the second data base. The method further comprises the step of storing the weighting coefficients in the third data base. The method further comprises the step of creating a list of qualifying PE Fund Managers for ranking. The method further comprises the step of storing the qualifying PE Fund Managers in a fourth data base. The method further comprises the step of ranking each of the Qualifying PE Fund Managers.
