Abstract:

A computer system and a storage access device. The storage access device is arranged to configure, using a physical function (PF) in a single root I/O virtualization (SRIOV) function, at least one virtual function (VF), configure an association relationship between the VM and the VF to establish a direct connection between the associated VM and VF, acquire, via a network interface, a data block resource provided by at least one network storage device connected to the network interface, configure the acquired data block resource into a plurality of virtual volumes, and configure association relationships between the VF and the virtual volumes. Since the storage access device supports SRIOV and distributed storage resource scheduling functions, and can directly establish a direct channel between a storage resource and a virtual machine, the storage access method supporting the storage access device can shorten a path and latency of storage access, and reduce resources used in a CPU of a computing node.
