Abstract:
A computer system comprising a first computer, wherein: the first computer has at least one application running thereon; the first computer is connected to a second computer for providing a storage area, and has a processor, a memory, a cache device in which a cache area is established, and an interface; the memory stores a program for implementing an operating system; the operating system comprises a cache driver and a coordination control section for issuing a control I/O request for allocation control; and, upon detecting an I/O request issued by the cache driver, the coordination control section generates a control I/O request from the detected I/O request on the basis of the results of analysis of the detected I/O request, and transfers the control I/O request to a device which is different from the device to which the detected I/O request is supposed to be transferred.
