Abstract:
A concomitant impedance protection method for a half-wavelength transmission line, comprising: acquiring three-phase currents and three-phase voltages at an M side relay protection device installation site and an N side relay protection device installation site of a half-wavelength transmission line, respectively; determining whether starting quantities of the M side and the N side meet a starting condition; determining a fault point F according to a difference in time when the starting quantities of the M side and the N side meet the starting condition; and opening, according to a concomitant impedance of the half-wavelength transmission line, a relay protection action of the half-wavelength transmission line. The method can locate a fault by means of a time-difference method according to the characteristics during the fault, construct the concomitant impedance by means of compensating the voltages and the currents at two sides of the line, and correctly reflect an internal fault and an external fault of a line region. Since the concomitant impedance protection effectively utilizes two-terminal electrical information, an action can be quickly and reliably taken for an internal fault of the line region whereas no mis-operation is performed on an external fault of the line region; and the protection has relatively high sensitivity.
