Abstract:
A concrete composition for use in an overlay method for improving a deteriorated pavement surface and/or layer which comprises a cement, a shrinkage-reducing agent, an expanding agent, a high performance AE water-reducing agent and AE agent, wherein the cement is a normal portland cement and/or a low heat portland cement. The use of the concrete composition affords a satisfactorily tight binding between an existing pavement layer and a new surface layer and prevents the two layers from separating. A new layer comprised of the composition has a reduced tendency to craze or to be weared.
