Abstract:
Concrete protective sol consists of sodium silicate, potassium silicate and
water as main components. The sodium silicate as well as the potassium silicate
mentioned here are ultra-fine divided solid particles with the diameter of 1
~100 nm, and their proportion is set as (3.2~4.2) : 1; Furthermore, the proportion
of the gross weight of the ultra-fine divided solid particles and the water in
the sol is 26~30%: 74~70%.Since the concrete protective sol is prepared by the
completely dispersed ultra-fine divided particles, which makes the subject
that reacts with the hydrate in the capillary of the concrete changed from ions
to the ultra-fine divided solid particles; the dual-segregation protection
both for integral and partial are achieved, hereafter on the basis of this mighty
dual protection, the strongpoint of the concrete protect sol is result from the
combination and conjunction of the sol and gel. The merits of the concrete protect
sol can be generally concluded as its ability of anti- corruption that strongly
resists the invasion and erosion of the causticity medium, and consequently
realizes the long-run stable and effective protection for the concrete structure,
indeed improves its durability and prolongs its life-span thereby. Consequently,
the maintenance will be greatly decreased.
