Abstract:
This condenser (30) is provided with a plurality of heat transfer pipe groups (41), a main shell (35), and an intermediate shell (31). The intermediate shell (31) is provided with: an intermediate shell inlet (32) which opens towards the horizontal direction from the inside; and an intermediate shell outlet (33) which opens downwards from the inside. The main shell (35) is provided with a main shell inlet (38) which opens upwards from the inside, and which is connected to the intermediate shell outlet (33). The plurality of heat transfer pipe groups (41) are disposed side by side in the horizontal direction inside the main shell (35). A near-side outlet edge (33n) of the intermediate shell outlet (33), i.e. the edge at the side (Dfn) near to the intermediate shell inlet (33) in the horizontal direction, is positioned lower than the highest position of the plurality of heat transfer pipe groups (44).
