Abstract:
A pull tab assembly is described for condiment dispensers such that one or more pull tabs are disposed on a dispenser. An alternative teaches opposing pull tab assemblies placed on either end of a condiment dispenser. A slanted edge associated with the pull tab facilitates the opening of the dispenser. Another embodiment teaches acute angle dispensing devices and alternatively having a flap about the acute angle dispensing devices.

Claims:
What is claimed is:

1. A dispenser comprising: a top planar member; a bottom planar member, wherein a first peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a first lateral edge, and wherein a second peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a second lateral edge; a first forward edge extending from the first peripheral edge at an angle relative to the first peripheral edge; a second forward edge extending from the second peripheral edge at an angle relative to the second peripheral edge, wherein the second forward edge meets the first forward edge at a point to form a forward arrowhead shape; a first rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the first lateral edge at an angle relative to the first lateral edge; and a second rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the second lateral edge at an angle relative to the second lateral edge and meeting the first rear edge at a central vertex to form an inverted arrowhead shape at a rear of the dispenser, wherein the forward arrowhead shape and the inverted arrowhead shape are

complimentary, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first forward edge and the second forward edge, and wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first rear edge and the second rear edge.

2. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member both include foil.

3. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using heat treatment.

4. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using adhesive.

5. The dispenser of claim 1, further comprising a plurality of dispensers formed along a top planar member trip and a bottom planar member strip.

6. The dispenser of claim 5, wherein one of the dispensers is formed so that the forward arrowhead shape is adjacent to a rear inverted arrowhead shape of a subsequent dispenser.

7. The dispenser of claim 1, further comprising a small triangular section defined at a tip of the forward arrowhead shape.

8. The dispenser of claim 7, wherein the small triangular section is joined using a weaker adhesive or heat treatment to make the small triangular section easier to rupture than other portions of the dispenser when pressure is applied to the dispenser.

9. The dispenser of claim 7, wherein the small triangular section is partially perforated to facilitate cutting of a tip of the forward arrowhead shape defined by the small triangular section.

10. A plurality of dispensers formed along a top planar member strip and a bottom planar member strip, each dispenser formed so that a forward arrowhead shape is adjacent to a rear inverted arrowhead shape of a subsequent dispenser, each dispenser comprising: a top planar member; a bottom planar member, wherein a first peripheral edge of the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a first lateral edge, and wherein a second peripheral edge of the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a second lateral edge; a first forward edge extending from the first peripheral edge at an angle relative to the first peripheral edge; a second forward edge extending from the second peripheral edge at an angle relative to the second peripheral edge, wherein the second forward edge meets the first forward edge at a point to form the forward arrowhead shape; a first rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the first lateral edge at an angle relative to the first lateral edge; and a second rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the second lateral edge at an angle relative to the second lateral edge and meeting the first rear edge at a central vertex to form the rear inverted arrowhead shape at a rear of the dispenser, wherein the forward arrowhead shape and the rear inverted arrowhead shape are complimentary, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first forward edge and the second forward edge, and wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first rear edge and the second rear edge.

11. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member both include foil.

12. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using heat treatment.

13. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using adhesive.

14. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, further comprising a small triangular section defined at a tip of the forward arrowhead shape.

15. The plurality of dispensers of claim 14, wherein the small triangular section is joined using a weaker adhesive or heat treatment to make the small triangular section easier to rupture than other portions of the dispenser when pressure is applied to the dispenser.

16. The plurality of dispensers of claim 14, wherein the small triangular section is partially perforated to facilitate cutting of a tip of the forward arrowhead shape defined by the small triangular section.

A dispenser comprising: a top planar member; a bottom planar member, wherein a first peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a first lateral edge, and wherein a second peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a second lateral edge; a first forward edge extending from the first peripheral edge at an angle relative to the first peripheral edge; a second forward edge extending from the second peripheral edge at an angle relative to the second peripheral edge, wherein the second forward edge meets the first forward edge at a point to form a forward arrowhead shape; a first rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the first lateral edge at an angle relative to the first lateral edge; and a second rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the second lateral edge at an angle relative to the second lateral edge and meeting the first rear edge at a central vertex to form an inverted arrowhead shape at a rear of the dispenser, wherein the forward arrowhead shape and the inverted arrowhead shape are complimentary, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first forward edge and the second forward edge, and wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first rear edge and the second rear edge.

2. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member both include foil.

3. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using heat treatment.

4. The dispenser of claim 1, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using adhesive.

5. The dispenser of claim 1, further comprising a plurality of dispensers formed along a top planar member trip and a bottom planar member strip.

6. The dispenser of claim 5, wherein one of the dispensers is formed so that the forward arrowhead shape is adjacent to a rear inverted arrowhead shape of a subsequent dispenser.

7. The dispenser of claim 1 , further comprising a small triangular section defined at a tip of the forward arrowhead shape.

8. The dispenser of claim 7, wherein the small triangular section is joined using a weaker adhesive or heat treatment to make the small triangular section easier to rupture than other portions of the dispenser when pressure is applied to the dispenser.

9. The dispenser of claim 7, wherein the small triangular section is partially perforated to facilitate cutting of a tip of the forward arrowhead shape defined by the small triangular section.

10. A plurality of dispensers formed along a top planar member strip and a bottom planar member strip, each dispenser formed so that a forward arrowhead shape is adjacent to a rear inverted arrowhead shape of a subsequent dispenser, each dispenser comprising: a top planar member; a bottom planar member, wherein a first peripheral edge of the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a first lateral edge, and wherein a second peripheral edge of the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a second lateral edge; a first forward edge extending from the first peripheral edge at an angle relative to the first peripheral edge; a second forward edge extending from the second peripheral edge at an angle relative to the second peripheral edge, wherein the second forward edge meets the first forward edge at a point to form the forward arrowhead shape; a first rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the first lateral edge at an angle relative to the first lateral edge; and a second rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the second lateral edge at an angle relative to the second lateral edge and meeting the first rear edge at a central vertex to form the rear inverted arrowhead shape at a rear of the dispenser, wherein the forward arrowhead shape and the rear inverted arrowhead shape are complimentary, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first forward edge and the second forward edge, and wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first rear edge and the second rear edge.

11. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member both include foil.

12. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using heat treatment.

13. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using adhesive.

14. The plurality of dispensers of claim 10, further comprising a small triangular section defined at a tip of the forward arrowhead shape.

15. The plurality of dispensers of claim 14, wherein the small triangular section is joined using a weaker adhesive or heat treatment to make the small triangular section easier to rupture than other portions of the dispenser when pressure is applied to the dispenser.

16. The plurality of dispensers of claim 14, wherein the small triangular section is partially perforated to facilitate cutting of a tip of the forward arrowhead shape defined by the small triangular section.

17. A dispensing system comprising: a first dispenser having: a first leaf of material and a second leaf of material attached to together appropriately such that the first leaf of material and the second leaf of material each has four corresponding sides such that these corresponding sides comprise: a front end; a back end; a first side; a second side; wherein the front end is disposed opposite the back end such that these are connected together using the first side and the second side; and wherein there is a first angle between the front end and the first side and wherein there is a second angle between the front end and the second side; and wherein there is a junction for dispensing of material from the dispenser between the front end and the first side.

18. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the first angle further comprises: an acute angle.

19. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the second angle further comprises: an obtuse angle.

20. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the first angle and the second angle further comprise: an acute angle and an obtuse angle respectively.

21. The dispensing system of claim 17, further comprising: a dispensing flap at the junction between the front end and the first side.

22. The dispensing system of claim 17, further comprising: a third angle between the first side and the back end and a fourth angle between the back end and the second side such that there is another junction for dispensing of material from the dispenser between the back end and the second side at the fourth angle.

23. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the third angle further comprises: an obtuse angle.

24. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the fourth angle further comprises: an acute angle.

25. The dispensing system of claim 17, wherein the third angle and the fourth angle further comprise: an obtuse angle and an acute angle respectively.

26. The dispensing system of claim 17, further comprising: a dispensing flap at the another junction between the back end and the second side.

27. The dispensing system of claim 26, further comprising: a dispensing hole disposed on the first leaf of material at the junction.

28. The dispensing system of claim 27, further comprising: another dispensing hole disposed on the second leaf of material at the junction.

29. The dispensing system of claim 28, further comprising: a third dispensing hole disposed on the first leaf of material at the another junction.

30. The dispensing system of claim 29, further comprising: a fourth dispensing hole disposed on the second leaf of material at the another junction.

The dispenser system of claim 17, further comprising: a second dispenser having: a third leaf of material and a fourth leaf of material attached to together appropriately such that the third leaf of material and the fourth leaf of material each has four corresponding another sides such that these corresponding sides comprise: another front end; another back end; another first side; another second side; wherein the another front end is disposed opposite the another back end such that these are connected together using the another first side and the another second side; and wherein there is another junction for dispensing of material from the second dispenser between the another front end and the another first side; wherein the first dispenser and the second dispenser are connected together the another front end of the second dispenser to the back end of the first dispenser.

36. The dispenser system of claim 17, further comprising: a plurality of dispensers such that a particular front end of one dispenser is connected to the particular back end of the other dispenser until there are no more dispensers.

37. A dispenser comprising: a first leaf having a first border and a second leaf having a second border attached together on the respective first and second borders forming a bottle shape; wherein the bottle shape comprises: a top portion integrating with a first narrow side at a first end and with a second narrow side at a second end thereof; wherein the first narrow side and the second narrow side integrate with a base at a first base end and at a second base end respectively.

38. The dispenser of claim 37, further comprising: a first intermediate side integrating with the first narrow side such that the first intermediate side integrates with the first base end.

39. The dispenser of claim 38, further comprising: a second intermediate side integrating with the second narrow side such that the second intermediate side integrates with the second base end.

The dispenser of claim 37, further comprising: a first intermediate side integrating with the first narrow side such that the first intermediate side integrates with the first base end. a second intermediate side integrating with the second narrow side such that the second intermediate side integrates with the second base end.

The dispenser of claim 37, further comprising: a first linear side integrating with the first narrow side wherein the first linear side integrates with the first base end; and a second linear side integrating with the second narrow side wherein the second linear side integrates with the second base end.

The dispenser of claim 41, further comprising: a first linear side integrating with the first narrow side and with a first intermediate side wherein the first intermediate side integrates with the first base end; and a second linear side integrating with the second narrow side and with a second intermediate side wherein the second intermediate side integrates with the second base end.

43. The dispenser of claim 37, further comprising: a pull strip attached to the first leaf at the top portion of the dispenser.

A dispenser comprising: a first leaf having a first border and a second leaf having a second border attached together on the respective first and second borders forming a quadrilateral first exterior shape and an interior storage bottle shape; wherein the bottle shape comprises: a top portion integrating with a first narrow side at a first end and with a second narrow side at a second end thereof; wherein the first narrow side and the second narrow side integrate with a base at a first base end and at a second base end respectively.

49. The dispenser of claim 48, further comprising: a first intermediate side integrating with the first narrow side such that the first intermediate side integrates with the first base end.

50. The dispenser of claim 49, further comprising: a second intermediate side integrating with the second narrow side such that the second intermediate side integrates with the second base end.

54. The dispenser of claim 48, further comprising: perforations at the top portion of the first leaf.

A dispenser assembly comprising: a first longitudinal side has a first endpoint connected to an endpoint of a first transverse side; a second endpoint of the first longitudinal side is connected to an endpoint of a second transverse side; a second longitudinal side has a third endpoint connected to another endpoint of the first transverse side; a fourth endpoint of the second longitudinal side is connected to another endpoint of the second transverse sides; and at a first end of the dispenser there is a first pull tab covering a portion of the first end and at a second end of the dispenser there is a second pull tab covering a portion of the second end thereof; and wherein the first pull tab is attached to the first transverse side and wherein the second pull tab is attached to the second transverse side.

57. The dispenser assembly of claim 56, further comprising: a second dispenser attached at the second end of the first dispenser; wherein the second dispenser has a corresponding pull tab at a forward end and a rear pull tab at a rear end thereof; such that the corresponding pull tab at a forward end of the second dispenser is situated so as to correspond transversely with the second pull tab of the first dispenser.

58. The dispenser assembly of claim 56, wherein the first pull tab further comprises: a first piece of material integrally formed with the first transverse side wherein the first piece of material is also integrally formed with a second piece of material; and wherein the first piece of material has a slant edge.

Description:
CONDIMENT DISPENSERS

Field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates to condiment dispensers; more particularly, the present invention relates to various novelties facilitating the opening of the aforementioned condiment dispensers for easy expulsion of the contents therefrom.

Background of the invention

[0002] Foil type condiment dispensers have been available for many decades serving

ketchup, mustard and similar condiments. Additionally, these devices have also been used to dispense other types of liquids such as soaps, conditioners, perfume and other such substances.

[0003] Typically two mirror leaves of foil material are brought together and heat sealed or glued near the perimeter thereof along the various sides of the leaves of material. A suitable pre-perforation, or weaker material is made at or near an junction point between two sides of the condiment dispenser so as to permit easy cutting of this junction point away from the rest of the device. Thus, a user cuts along this portion removing a piece of material of the junction zone and proceeds to dispense the material therefrom.

[0004] However, there are problems with this approach in that the current system is very messy leaving condiment material on the external surface of the dispenser. Also, the cutting of the junction is many times not easily performed.

[0005] Accordingly, there remains a need in the art for a condiment dispenser that more readily maintains a clean surface of the condiment dispenser and permits the simple and easy opening of the dispenser. Summary of the invention

[0006] The present invention overcomes the deficiencies of the known art and the problems that remain unsolved by providing a method and respective apparatus for packaging and consumption of take out appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

[0007] A dispenser comprising: a top planar member; a bottom planar member, wherein a first peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a first lateral edge, and wherein a second peripheral edge of the top planar member and a corresponding first peripheral edge of the bottom planar member are permanently joined to form a second lateral edge; a first forward edge extending from the first peripheral edge at an angle relative to the first peripheral edge; a second forward edge extending from the second peripheral edge at an angle relative to the second peripheral edge, wherein the second forward edge meets the first forward edge at a point to form a forward arrowhead shape; a first rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the first lateral edge at an angle relative to the first lateral edge; and a second rear edge extending inwardly into an area between the first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge from a rear end of the second lateral edge at an angle relative to the second lateral edge and meeting the first rear edge at a central vertex to form an inverted arrowhead shape at a rear of the dispenser, wherein the forward arrowhead shape and the inverted arrowhead shape are

complimentary, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first forward edge and the second forward edge, and wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are permanently joined at the first rear edge and the second rear edge.

In another aspect, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member both include foil. In another aspect, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using heat treatment. In another aspect, wherein the top planar member and the bottom planar member are joined using adhesive. In another aspect, further comprising a plurality of dispensers formed along a top planar member trip and a bottom planar member strip. Thus, when sufficient pressure is applied to the center of the packet, it would cause a puncture to the tip thereby releasing the contents. Alternatively, a user can rupture the package by cutting across the line; further, this may also be optionally partially perforated so as to facilitate the cutting thereof.

[0045] FIG. 5 A presents a view of a dispenser in another alternative embodiment disclosed herein. A dispenser 17 is shaped as a ketchup bottle in this view. The dispenser 17 is made of top and bottom foils that are heat or adhesive sealed along peripheral edges so that they come together thereat. Another option has the slight perforations (or weaker material) on the bottom foil as well corresponding to the top portion perforations so as to permit the optional removal of the entire simulated bottle cap in the figure.

disclosed herein. A dispenser 18 is shaped as a rectangle having a containment space in the shape of ketchup bottle in this view.
