Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a conductive film in which at least the mechanical properties, electrical characteristics, or optical characteristics are further enhanced while still benefiting from enhanced transparency as a result of fine metal wires being made thinner, as well as a conductive film roll, electronic paper, a touch panel, and a flat panel display using the same. A conductive film according to the present invention has a transparent base material and a conductive section comprising a fine metal wire pattern provided on one surface or both surfaces of the transparent base material. The fine metal wire pattern is composed of fine metal wires. The fine metal wires contain at least silicon atoms Si, oxygen atoms O, or carbon atoms C, in addition to conductive metal atoms M. In STEM-EDX analysis of a cross section of each of the fine metal wires, said cross section being orthogonal to the direction in which the fine metal wire extends, if the maximum thickness of the fine metal wire is T, the fine metal wire contains, in a prescribed ratio, at least the silicon atoms Si, the oxygen atoms O, or the carbon atoms C in the thickness direction.
