A conductive roller comprising a rotary shaft, and a conductive elastic body layer provided around the rotary shaft, wherein a resin coating layer containing particles having JIS A hardness of 10-99 and average particle diameter of 2-30μm is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the conductive elastic body layer, and an imaging apparatus comprising the conductive roller. A conductive roller having good toner carrying properties and charging properties, providing a high quality image free from image unevenness or fog, and suitable as a toner carrier exhibiting excellent durability, and an imaging apparatus comprising the conductive roller are provided.
