Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a conductive wire for which the step of winding onto a core is simple and by which the fill factor of a coil is increased regardless of the quality of the constituent material and the shape of a slot. A conductive wire (4) for a coil in an electrical rotating machine is provided with a conductive wire strand bundle (42) formed from a bundle of a plurality of conductive wire strands (41), and a flexible insulation covering material (46) that covers the periphery of the conductive wire strand bundle (42). The conductive wire (4) has gaps (G) which are radially inward of the flexible insulation covering material (46) and allow the conductive wire strands (41) to move relative to each other, and the cross-sectional shape of the flexible insulation covering material (46) in a plane orthogonal to the extending direction of the conductive wire strand bundle (42) is deformable.
