Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cone penetration testing device with a double-hollow-pipe structure for measuring the horizontal resistance of the ground. The present invention is capable of accurately predicting the horizontal resistance in measuring the characteristics and stiffness of the ground. The device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a main rod to which a load is applied, wherein one end of the main rod is coupled to a penetration device; a vertical rod of a cylindrical shape which is formed to protrude from the center of the other end of the main rod in the vertical direction; a cone penetration tip of a conical shape which is coupled to a distal end of the vertical rod and penetrates into the ground; an inner cylinder in the form of a hollow pipe which comprises a ring-shaped projection formed along the outer circumferential surface thereof, wherein the inner cylinder is disposed to accommodate the vertical rod and to be spaced from the cone penetration tip at a predefined interval; an outer cylinder in the form of a hollow pipe, wherein the outer cylinder accommodates the inner cylinder; and a horizontal resistance measuring part which is mounted on the surface of the inner cylinder and measures the strain rate of the ground against the horizontal resistance.
