Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a congestion avoidance operation system and method for an elevator device, the system and method realizing a stagnation avoidance operation with which it is possible to reduce the stress of users caused by long wait times. A congestion avoidance operation system in a facility provided with a plurality of elevator devices, wherein the congestion avoidance operation system is characterized by being provided with: a crowding detection unit that detects crowding on a platform of an elevator within the facility; a determination unit that determines, on the basis of a crowded floor where crowding was detected and the number of users of the elevator on the crowded floor, a degree of crowding on the crowded floor caused by the number of users on the crowded floor reaching or exceeding a discretionary threshold value; and a control unit that executes a congestion avoidance operation using the plurality of elevator devices when the threshold value is reached or exceeded; the plurality of elevator devices being dispatched in sequence to the crowded floor in the congestion avoidance operation.
