Abstract:
Disclosed is a conical friction ring continuously variable transmission, wherein an oil guide is disposed in a manner that does not interfere with a transmission operation member so supply oil with the oil guide to a portion requiring the oil without increasing the size of the transmission, and wherein the portion of a friction wheel that is immersed in an oil pool is minimized so as to prevent a reduction in transmission efficiency. An oil guide (61) is provided on a partial axial region (q) of an input-side friction wheel (22) on the small diameter side, which is not immersed in an oil pool (60). On the partial region (q), the oil transferred by a ring (25) is introduced to the small diameter side of the input-side friction wheel (22) by the oil guide (61). The large diameter side of the friction wheel is directly immersed in the oil pool, and the oil is supplied to the large diameter side. However, the portion of the friction wheel that is immersed in the oil pool is minimized.
