Abstract:
In order to address the problem of ensuring a sufficient amount of enclosed grease when a conical roller bearing is made more compact, and to eliminate a deficiency in the supply of grease to the small-diameter side of a retainer and the small-diameter-surface side of a conical roller even when the grease is biased toward the large-diameter side due to centrifugal force, this conical bearing is equipped with an outer ring 3 having conical raceway surfaces 7a, 7b, inner rings 2a, 2b having conical raceway surfaces 6a, 6b, and having small flange parts 8a, 8b on the smaller-diameter end of the raceway surface 6a, 6b and large flange parts 9a, 9b on the larger-diameter end of the raceway surfaces, multiple conical rollers 4a, 4b arranged so as to be able to roll freely between the raceway surfaces 6a, 6b of the outer ring 3 and the raceway surfaces 6a, 6b of the inner rings 2a, 2b, and retainers 5a, 5b for holding the conical rollers at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction, and is characterized in that the conical rollers 4a, 4b are provided with grease-holding pockets 25a, 25b extending from the smaller-diameter end surface toward the larger-diameter.
