Abstract:
Provided is a connecting device wherein a plug can be inserted and removed easily and quickly from a receptacle with minimal friction, and once the plug is inserted into the receptacle, the plug maintains a secure connection with the receptacle without being dislodged. The connecting device is equipped with a receptacle (6) provided on a duplicator (3), a removable plug (5b) inserted into the receptacle (6), a receptacle side contact (6c) provided within the receptacle (6), a plug side contact (10) that is provided on the plug (5b) and is able to make contact with the receptacle side contact (6c) when the plug (5b) is inserted into the receptacle (6), and an impelling means (11) provided on the duplicator (3), which is movable to a pressed position for impelling toward the receptacle side contact (6c) the plug side contact (10) on the plug (5b) inserted into the receptacle (6), and is movable to a release position for releasing from the impelling force.
