Provided are a connecting member provided with an empty slot and a lamp constituted by same and a lamp assembly method. A connecting member (90) provided with an empty slot (91) includes a connecting body (900), the connecting body being provided with an empty slot (91) for accommodating a connecting conductor, and screw mounting holes on the two sides of the empty slot. The lamp at least includes two hexagonal lamp modules (S); at a location where the hexagonal lamp modules are adjacent, a connecting member and a connecting conductor connected to a connector (60) of the hexagonal lamp module are provided; the connecting member is a connecting member provided with an empty slot; the connecting member is fixedly coupled to a coupling edge (100) of the hexagonal lamp module. The connecting member utilizes an empty slot which can provide an accommodating space for the connecting conductor, so that the coupling space between the lamp modules is small and the structure is compact. The lamp utilizes a regular hexagonal lamp module, and utilizes the characteristics of the regular hexagon to realize the interconnection between the modules in six directions, so as to realize combinations of different numbers of modules and to achieve a combination in various shapes of lamps, thereby realizing diversification of lamps.
