Abstract:
The present invention relates to a connecting rod (11) configured so that: the inner peripheral surface (32) of a small end section (21) can be lubricated over a wide crank angle range; the connecting rod (11) is formed compact and lightweight; and the connecting rod (11) does not require a die to be newly prepared. The connecting rod (11) is provided with the small end section (21), a recess (33), and a through-hole (34). The recess (33) is formed in an outer peripheral surface (31) and extends in the circumferential direction between the front end (C) and the root side of the small end section (21). The through-hole (34) is formed passing from one end (35) to the inner peripheral surface (32).
