[PROBLEMS] To provide a connecting terminal, in which a connecting section is strongly and elastically brought into contact with an inner plane of a connecting hole of a printed board or the like without generating deformation such as bending at a terminal section at the time of inserting the connecting section into the connecting hole, and which has an excellent material yield, and to provide an electric component using such connecting terminal. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A connecting section (3) of a connecting terminal (1) is divided into long and narrow shapes by a slit (3a) formed in a prescribed length in an inserting direction into a through hole (22), i.e. a connecting hole. The adjacent long and narrow divided sections sandwiching the slit (3a) are bent in different directions in a plate thickness direction of a metal plate, and a plurality of elastic contact sections (4, 5, 5), which can be elastically brought into contact with a conductive plane composed of a conductive film (23) on an inner plane of the through hole (22), are formed.
