Title:
CONNECTION OF AT LEAST ONE COMPONENT MADE OF STEEL TO A SUBSTRUCTURE MADE OF BRITTLE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/092822
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a connection (20) of at least one component (12) made of steel to a substructure (16) made of wood by means of at least one screw (22) having a head (23) and a shaft (27) having a thread (25). The or each screw (22) is supported in a region underneath the head (23) against and/or on the or each component (12) by means of a coupling device (28) that guides the screw (22) when establishing the connection (10) and is furthermore designed such that said coupling device lends the connection (10) ductility, at least after the production thereof. The connection behaves stiffly at a low load level and in a ductile manner at a high load level. An uneven load on screws arranged in a row in the direction of force in a connection, caused by production tolerances of the screw (22), can be substantially equalized as a result of the ductile behavior of the coupling device (28).
