Title:
CONNECTION DEVICE AND BLOOD COMPONENT SEPARATION APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/140858
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent a user from being mistakenly pricked by the hollow needle when separating blood components using a syringe and a connection device. [Solution] The blood component separation apparatus is provided with three syringes and a connection device (14). The connection device (14) is installed on one syringe and is inserted inside another syringe. The connection device (14) is provided with a first member (40) to which the base end of a hollow needle (17) is joined and a second member (60) that is connected to the first member (40) so as to be capable of moving relative to the first member (40). The second member (60) is moved back and forth between a first position that accommodates the tip (18) of the hollow needle (17) and a second position that exposes the tip (18) of the hollow needle (17). The second member (60) is provided with an elastic section (63) that is elastically deformed in the movement from the first position to the second position. The elastically deformed elastic section (63) elastically energizes the second member (60) in the second position towards the first position with respect to the first member (40).
