Abstract:
A connection device is provided with: a cylindrical holder (31) in which holes (31a) are provided in side walls thereof and an expansion rod (13) is fixed to a top end thereof; steel balls (32) fitted into a recess (22a) provided in a side surface of a wedge rod (22) inserted inside the holder (31) from a bottom end of the holder (31), whereby movement of the wedge rod (22) in relation to the expansion rod (13) is restricted; a cylindrical ring (33) in which a clearance groove is provided in an inside surface thereof, and the ring (33) being capable of assuming a first state and a second state by being rotated about a cylinder axis (J2) of the holder (31) in a state of being fitted onto the holder (31); and a main shaft body (12) and a pin (44) for placing the ring (33) in the first state or the second state by rotating the ring (33).
